INDIAN CARVED CATALOGUE TABLE

This piece was constructed using locally harvested, recycled wood. An oak laboratory cabinet door, a Doe Library bureau, and a piece of old quarter-sawn Oak desktop all came from U.C. Berkeley's salvage warehouse. A section of an old carved Indian screen came from Craigslist. Scroll down to see more of what I started with. The original bits and pieces dictated much of the design. Eight drawers were retrofitted for CD/DVD storage. In addition there is a top drawer with sliding pencil tray and below it, one of the original pull-out shelves.
